The music & movement of OULA brought us together by Annalisa Martin

For over 5 years I had encouraged my female friends and family to try OULA, never once considering my own son.  In retrospect I shouldn’t have been, but I was shocked 10 months ago when my then 15-year-old Colin wanted to come to class with me!  We have been going to classes together at the Missoula studio ever since- he even goes without me if I can’t make it.  Colin defies expectations.  He’s honest, hilarious, kind-hearted, and always willing to try new things.  He is also on the autism spectrum and struggles socially.  “OULA helps distract me from the problems in life,” he says.  He loves saying RIP to the bullshit and venting his frustrations.  The music and movement of OULA have brought us together in a whole new way.  And it provides my son a community to belong to, a community that is welcoming and accepting.  We are so thankful!
